Coco de Mer Hotel sits on its own estate of more than 80 hectares on Praslin's south-west coast, at Anse Bois de Rose. The land runs from tropical forest down to several small beaches, and the hotel is named after the coco de mer palms that grow in the surrounding forest.

The main hotel has Standard and oceanfront Superior rooms, two pools (one shaped like a coco de mer nut, one in a pavilion on stilts over the sea) and a paddling pool for children. The Black Parrot Suites are a separate wing of 12 Junior Suites on a rocky outcrop, with their own pool, bar and lounge, closed to children under 14.

Guests can join free guided nature walks through the forest several times a week, and a free shuttle runs to Anse Lazio several times a week.

There are two pools, a children's paddling pool and a separate Black Parrot pool for Junior Suite guests. The hotel also has an ocean-view gym, free stand-up paddleboards and canoes, snorkelling gear and bicycles for hire, and a giant chess board. The Waterfront Spa has three treatment rooms.

Dining

The Hibiscus Restaurant serves buffet breakfasts, evening buffets and à la carte dishes, with live entertainment once or twice a week. The Mango Terrace Bar & Restaurant serves casual poolside meals. Several small, quiet beaches in the bay of Anse Bois de Rose flank the hotel, with sand terraces, hammocks and loungers. A free shuttle runs to Anse Lazio several times a week.
