Why stay here

Le Château de Feuilles sits on top of Pointe Cabris, a small hill above the sea on Praslin's south-east coast. It calls itself a five-star luxury boutique hotel. There are only seven rooms and suites, and the hotel says all but one have panoramic ocean views.

The restaurant cooks everything in-house and grows fruit and vegetables in its own organic garden. The hotel also has a large organic swimming pool, a spa offering Africology treatments, a hilltop Jacuzzi and a helipad.

The hotel operates Grande Soeur, an island about a 20–30 minute boat ride away. On Saturday or Sunday the island is reserved for Château de Feuilles guests. The hotel says more than ten giant tortoises live there.

Getting there

The hotel says Air Seychelles runs many domestic flights a day from Mahé to Praslin, each taking about 15 minutes, and the Cat Cocos ferry makes three crossings a day, taking about an hour. Helicopters from Mahé International Airport can land at the hotel's helipad, which the hotel can book.
