Some links on Praslin & La Digue are affiliate links. If you book through one of these links, the guide may receive a commission at no additional cost to you. The editorial content is designed to help you make your own travel decisions.

How affiliate links work

A booking site such as Booking.com runs an affiliate programme. Once the programme approves a website, links from that website carry a reference number. If you follow one of those links and complete a booking, the booking site pays the website a commission out of its own revenue. You pay the price the booking site shows you. Using the link does not change it.

Booking.com links on the guide run through CJ Affiliate, the network that tracks the click and pays the commission.

How they are marked

Affiliate links appear as booking buttons, for example "Check availability on Booking.com", and each one has a note beside it saying it is an affiliate link. The buttons pass through a praslinladigue.com address before sending you on to the booking site, so the guide can count how often each button is used. That count is not linked to you. The privacy policy explains what is recorded.

What commission does not decide

• A place to stay is listed whether or not it has an affiliate link.
• Descriptions, "who it suits" notes and the places listed for couples, families and other travellers are based on sourced facts, not on commission.
• Nobody pays to appear on the guide, and there is no sponsored content. If that ever changes, the content will be clearly labelled as paid.
