The beach

Anse St Sauveur is a small beach on Praslin's south coast, along the shore from Anse Bateau and Anse Cimitière. Coconut palms lean out over the sand, giving plenty of shade, and on clear days Mahé is visible in the distance. Tourism Seychelles notes that it is usually visited in passing, so it is often empty.

Getting there

Parking spaces are close by, and bus stops line the main road.

In the water

The water is calm and shallow with little current or wave action, which SeyVillas and Tourism Seychelles describe as suitable for families and less confident swimmers. The coral reef offshore is good for snorkelling, and the beach is used for fishing, with fishing equipment available to rent.

Seasons

Timing matters here. SeyVillas reports that the beaches in this area can fill with seaweed between May and October. Outside those months it describes clear water and white sand.
