La Pointe Beach Huts

La Pointe Beach Huts is a complex of six self-catering units on Praslin's south coast, in a quiet, secluded area about a couple of minutes' walk from Anse St Sauveur. Run by owners Aretha and Jonathan with a sustainable development approach, it sits within the original tropical forest and granite rocks, and some units have sea views.

The mix runs from two-bedroom chalets with private pools and outdoor showers for families, to suites and a studio designed for couples. Breakfast can be served at your unit, a cook can prepare a Creole dinner in your kitchen, and bicycles are for hire on site. The owners describe the water at Anse St Sauveur as calm and shallow.

The owners describe the two-bedroom chalets as family-friendly, the Tourterelle and Katiti suites as designed for couples, and the Merle studio as suited to couples or a family of three.

Petit Payot (two bedrooms, sea views, private pool, outdoor shower, sleeps four); Veuve Noire (two bedrooms, sea views, private pool, sleeps four); Hummingbird (two-storey, two bedrooms and two en-suites, private pool, sleeps five); Tourterelle Beach Suite (for couples, private deck, mini pool, outdoor shower); Katiti Beach Suite (one bedroom, for couples); Merle Beach Studio (couples or a family of three, private patio). All have equipped kitchens. A three-bedroom sister property, Villa Tamanu, is listed separately. Check-in from 3pm, check-out by 10am.

Free unlimited wifi (40 Mbps), bath and beach towels, housekeeping Monday to Saturday, bicycle rental, luggage storage, free baby cot and high chair, contactless self check-in, board games, ice boxes to borrow and a barbecue preparation service.

At Hummingbird the two bedrooms are on different floors, linked by external stairs, and the owners do not recommend it for families with young children.

Self-catering. Continental breakfast is served at your unit on request, Monday to Saturday between 8.30 and 10am. A Creole dinner can be delivered or cooked in your kitchen by a private cook, Monday to Saturday with pre-booking. Les Rochers restaurant is a few metres away.

Anse St Sauveur is about a two-minute walk. The owners' website gives the distance as 100 m in one place and 200 m in another, and describes the water as calm and shallow for swimming and snorkelling.

A private driver can be booked from the harbour or airport. Praslin has three bus routes (61, 62 and 63), with reduced service at weekends and public holidays; SPTC revised its timetables from 4 August 2026, so check current times. The owners say large suitcases are not allowed on buses.

Minimum stay of three nights (owners' website, checked 16 September 2026). The nearest shops are in Grand Anse, about 3 km away, and the owners recommend renting a car. They do not run transfers themselves but can book a private driver. Housekeeping is Monday to Saturday.
