Anse Boudin
A working fishing beach on Praslin's north-east coast facing Curieuse, with shallow water, roadside parking and bus stops. Bus passengers for Anse Lazio get off here and walk over the hill. Seaweed washes in at times.
The beach
Anse Boudin runs for close to a kilometre along the north-east coast, looking out to Curieuse. Fishermen anchor their boats in the shallows, and SeyVillas mentions Saturday football on the sand. The shoreline is on the southern boundary of the Curieuse Marine National Park.
Getting there
The coastal road runs alongside, with parking and bus stops. seychelles.cc notes that the last bus stop is at Anse Boudin, where walkers set off over the hill to Anse Lazio, a few minutes away by car.
In the water
The water is very shallow, especially at low tide, but deepens quickly away from the sandy patches, so children should not stray far. SeyVillas says it is safe for children to swim and play near the shore. Seaweed arrives on this coast from time to time; SeyVillas says the waves usually carry it away before it settles, while seychelles.cc describes it washing onto Praslin's northern beaches regularly. SeyVillas names Anse Boudin among Praslin's top snorkelling spots.
Facilities
Snack shops, curio shops and restaurants are nearby, and SeyVillas mentions an excursion counter selling trips to Curieuse and Cousin. Palmier Bistro Restaurant & Bar is listed with Tourism Seychelles on the Anse Boudin shore.
