Why stay here

Raffles Seychelles sits on a hillside running down to Anse Takamaka on Praslin's north shore. It opened in 2011 and was the first resort Raffles built. The villas are spread across the hillside, from villas set deep in the gardens to hilltop Panoramic villas.

Each villa comes with a private pool and a butler. The resort also has a double infinity pool, a TechnoGym fitness centre that is open 24 hours and a spa with 13 treatment pavilions. Its grounds are home to a group of rescued giant Aldabra tortoises.

The resort describes its sustainability work in some detail. It has banned single-use plastic since 2019, runs its buggies on hybrid power and works with the Marine Conservation Society on coral nurseries, which guests can see along a snorkelling trail.
