La Saline

La Saline is a self-catering villa built about 50 years ago from local red granite on the site of an old salt pan, which gives it its name. A large covered veranda wraps around the house over the water at the entrance to Anse Possession, looking across the bay to Curieuse and Aride.

The house is furnished with original tropical wooden furniture but has a large modern kitchen and recently renovated bathrooms. Swimming and snorkelling start from the veranda, with small coral gardens close by, and Curieuse Marine National Park is a short boat ride away.

Three first-floor bedrooms, all air-conditioned: two overlooking the bay with king-size beds and one twin room with a garden view. Two renovated bathrooms upstairs with walk-in showers and a guest toilet downstairs.

Free unlimited wifi, smart TV, safes, fire detectors and extinguishers. Kitchen with fridge-freezer, oven, microwave, kettle, coffee maker, toaster, dishwasher and washing machine. Outdoor barbecue and outdoor shower, garden and private parking. Bedlinen and towels provided.

All three bedrooms and both main bathrooms are on the first floor. There is a guest toilet downstairs.

Self-catering, with a large kitchen and outdoor barbecue. The restaurants of Côte d'Or are a few minutes away by car.

The veranda gives direct access to the water for swimming and snorkelling, with a small beach at low tide.

Anse Possession, on the north coast. Côte d'Or's beach and restaurants are a few minutes by car and Anse Lazio under 15 minutes' drive. Curieuse Marine National Park is a short boat trip away.

There is no sandy beach at the door: the villa gives access to a small beach at low tide only. Cleaning and linen changes run on a three-day cycle rather than daily.
