Indian Ocean Lodge

Indian Ocean Lodge is a renovated boutique hotel right on Grand Anse beach, at the edge of Grand Anse village on Praslin's west coast. It is owned and run by a mostly Seychellois team and sets out to feel local, from the food to rooms decorated with tropical prints and fittings made from coconut husk.

Its 32 rooms are in eight two-storey Creole-style buildings along the beach, each with a terrace or balcony. There are two pools, and KokoSol, the beachfront restaurant and bar, serves breakfast, all-day light meals and dinner.

The west-facing beach catches the sunset. Grand Anse has shallow flats that run out to the reef, and the hotel recommends its pools when seaweed builds up between May and October.

The hotel caters for families, with rooms that convert for children, interconnecting ground-floor rooms, a toddlers' pool and babysitting. It also offers honeymoon packages and weddings.

The 32 rooms are in eight two-storey Creole-style buildings along the beach. Standard rooms are 45 m² with a king-size bed and two built-in couches that convert to beds for children under 12, and the ground-floor rooms interconnect. Rooms have air-conditioning, a ceiling fan, mosquito nets, a safe, TV, mini fridge and a Nespresso machine.

The hotel has two swimming pools, a toddlers' pool, free Wi-Fi, 24-hour security, parking, same-day laundry, babysitting and nightly turndown. Kayaks and stand-up paddleboards are available at the watersports centre.

16 of the 32 rooms are on the ground floor, the factsheet says.

KokoSol is the beachfront restaurant and bar. Breakfast is served 7.30–10am and dinner from 7.30pm (hotel website, checked 16 September 2026), with an à la carte menu of light meals and drinks through the day.

The hotel is about 5 minutes' drive from Praslin airport, 15 minutes from the Baie Sainte Anne jetty, about 20 minutes from Côte d'Or and 35 minutes from Anse Lazio.

The hotel says south-east trade winds usually bring seaweed onto Grand Anse beach between May and October, and suggests using the pools or asking reception for other beaches at that time.
