Granite Self Catering

Granite Self Catering is a small property in La Passe, set among granite rocks and greenery down a short unpaved lane off the main road. The tourism board says the jetty and Anse Sévère are both about five minutes away by bike. The owners, Sylvia and Aime, live next door.

SeyVillas sells a two-storey house and an apartment. The house has natural wood inside and out, a combined living and dining room with a kitchen, and a small WC on the ground floor. The apartment beside it has one bedroom, a bathroom, a kitchen and a veranda, screened from the house by planting and a wooden fence. SeyVillas suggests families or groups book both.

Breakfast and dinner can be booked on site, and there is a barbecue in the garden. A small kiosk across the garden sells drinks and snacks.

SeyVillas lists families, groups, honeymooners and solo travellers, and suggests booking both units for a family or group.

Two-storey House: about 56 m², double bed, bathroom and separate WC, fully equipped kitchen with fridge, microwave, toaster and rice cooker, washing machine, air conditioning, balcony and TV. Apartment: about 45 m², double bed, bathroom, fully equipped kitchen, air conditioning, fan, balcony, garden view and a water dispenser. Both have wifi and a starter pack on arrival, according to SeyVillas.

SeyVillas lists wifi, luggage storage, a safe, a barbecue, an outdoor shower, a garden, a security system, daily cleaning, towel and linen changes every three or four days, a communal washing machine (free for stays of five nights or more), a laundry service, babysitting, a shuttle service and bicycle rental. The tourism board adds a desk, outdoor furniture and a kiosk, and carries a Workcation label.

Not on the beach. SeyVillas says the stay is not suited to guests with reduced mobility. Bicycle hire, laundry, the shuttle service and meals are charged. The honeymoon offer needs a stay of at least five nights and a wedding within the previous three months.
