The Islander is a small family-run hotel on more than 4,000 m² of flat land at Anse Kerlan, on Praslin's north-west coast. Guests stay in self-contained Creole-style bungalows set in gardens, from Standard and Superior units up to a Family Villa.

The beach is a few steps away, with a Balinese-style gazebo, beach beds and a shower. The hotel has a restaurant, a bar and lounge, its own car hire and free parking, and a tortoise pen where guests can feed the tortoises.
