Anse Georgette
A small bay on Praslin's north-west tip, reached on land through the grounds of Constance Lemuria, on foot from Anse Lazio, or by boat. Non-guests should contact the resort first. Deep water close in and generally little seaweed.
The beach
Anse Georgette is a short bay of white sand on the north-west tip of Praslin, backed by takamaka trees and granite boulders. Measurements disagree: SeyVillas gives about 260 m, Wikipedia 0.5 km with a maximum width of 20 m, facing north-west. Tourism Seychelles notes that Constance Lemuria sits between the road and the beach.
Getting there on land
The land route runs through the resort. Tourism Seychelles' guide to family beaches, published in June 2025, says entry must be arranged with the Constance Lemuria resort. SeyVillas says non-guests should tell the hotel before they come, that numbers are sometimes limited, and that the walk down takes about 30 minutes; its south-west Praslin page states that prior registration is required. The resort's own website does not publish a procedure for day visitors, so contact Constance Lemuria before setting out. The arrangement is long-standing: Seychelles Nation reported residents' concerns about it in December 2005.
Walking from Anse Lazio, and arriving by boat
A marked trail of about 3.2 km runs from Anse Lazio, taking around two hours with 120 m of climbing each way (SeyVillas hiking guide); the two beaches are about 2.3 km apart in a straight line, measured from their OpenStreetMap points. Tourism Seychelles lists a half-day guided walk between them, run by Nature Senses Tours (listing updated 3 June 2026).
Boats also stop in the bay. Anse Georgette Charters, listed by Tourism Seychelles at the Constance Lemuria address, runs half-day and full-day trips including snorkelling, and says its skippers and boats are licensed and insured (listing updated 31 August 2026).
What is on the beach
Nothing. Tourism Seychelles states that Anse Georgette has no on-site facilities and advises bringing snacks and water (June 2025); no source records toilets, showers, sunbeds or a kiosk. Shade comes from the trees behind the sand (SeyVillas).
Diving and eating happen at the resort. SeyVillas says non-guests can eat at its restaurants by reservation, and Tourism Seychelles' listing for Udive Centre Praslin, the PADI five-star dive centre there, states that external visitors are welcome and not only resort guests (updated 17 February 2026).
When to go
The Seychelles Meteorological Authority's climate guide puts the north-west monsoon from January to April, peaking in January, and the south-east trades from May to October, peaking in August with rough seas. Of June to September it says beaches exposed to the south-east winds collect weed washed ashore while the sheltered beaches of the west and north-west coast are more pleasant. It calls April the calmest month at sea.
In the water
SeyVillas notes there is no offshore reef, so the water deepens quickly and children need close supervision. It describes normal tides, small waves and generally no seaweed, and rates the bay good for snorkelling.
There is no lifeguard. Tourism Seychelles' Beach and Sea Safety Guide, second edition, states that lifeguards are stationed only at Beau Vallon on Mahé and at Anse Lazio and Côte d'Or on Praslin, and none at any other beach; it lists Anse Georgette among the Praslin beaches with a safety warning sign, and gives 2529976 as the Seychelles Life Guard Services number (checked 20 September 2026). In 2011 the maritime safety authority imposed a temporary swimming ban here after shark attacks at neighbouring Anse Lazio (Wikipedia).

Getting there
On land, access is through the grounds of Constance Lemuria (Tourism Seychelles; Wikipedia). Tourism Seychelles' guide to family beaches (June 2025) says entry must be arranged with the resort. SeyVillas advises non-guests to inform the hotel before visiting, notes that the hotel sometimes limits visitor numbers, and describes a walk of about 30 minutes down to the beach; its south-west Praslin guide says prior registration is required. Resort guests get golf-cart transfers (SeyVillas). The Seychelles News Agency (2021) also describes a 30-minute hike from near the resort. Alternatively, walk the 3.24 km trail from Anse Lazio (about two hours, medium difficulty, 120 m up and down; SeyVillas hiking guide) — the two beaches lie about 2.3 km apart in a straight line, measured from their OpenStreetMap points — or take the half-day guided walk between the two beaches that Tourism Seychelles lists for Nature Senses Tours (listing updated 3 June 2026). Arriving by boat avoids the resort entrance altogether (SeyVillas; Wikipedia); Anse Georgette Charters, listed by Tourism Seychelles at the Constance Lemuria address, runs half-day and full-day trips and says its skippers and boats are licensed, insured and tourism safe certified (listing updated 31 August 2026). In December 2013 the Ministry of Environment, Constance Lemuria and a landowner signed a three-year memorandum to maintain a 3 km trail from private land at Mont Plaisir via Mont Chenard to Anse Georgette (Seychelles Nation). Residents' concerns about restricted land access go back at least to December 2005, when Seychelles Nation reported them (17 December 2005). Constance Lemuria's website does not publish a day-visitor procedure, so check with the resort before going.

There are none on the beach.
