Etoile Labrine

Etoile Labrine is a small guesthouse at L'Union in the south of La Digue, near Anse Source d'Argent. The owners describe it as the nearest guesthouse to that beach.

The owners give ten rooms. Two of the units are family rooms, each with two bedrooms joined by an interconnecting door. Every room has air conditioning, a ceiling fan, an en-suite bathroom and a veranda.

The restaurant serves breakfast, which is included, and dinner that can be booked on site. SeyVillas describes the evening meal as Creole cooking. Boat trips run on the owners' own boat, Labrine.

Travellers who want to be close to Anse Source d'Argent and prefer breakfast and dinner on site to self-catering.

The owners say there are ten rooms, all with king-size beds, en-suite bathrooms with large showers, a private veranda, air conditioning and a ceiling fan. SeyVillas sells them as six Standard Rooms of about 32 m² for up to two people, and two Family Rooms of about 64 m² with two bedrooms, each with a king-size bed and en-suite bathroom, for up to four people. The owners describe the children's room in the family units as having twin single beds. Rooms have a mini fridge, kettle, tea and coffee facilities and a hair dryer. Extra beds and baby cots are available.

Free wifi, daily beach towels, an outdoor shower, laundry service, luggage storage, a safe at reception and a garden. Rooms are cleaned daily and towels changed every two days (SeyVillas). Bicycle rental, a shuttle service and laundry are charged. The owners also offer a pick-up service on request, guided tours of La Digue, and snorkelling, fishing and sunset trips. Visa, Mastercard and cash in rupees, US dollars and euros are accepted.

The on-site restaurant serves breakfast, which is included in the rate, and dinner, which can be booked on site. SeyVillas describes the evening meal as Creole, sometimes cooked by the owner.

The nearest beach is Anse Réunion, about 700 m away. Anse Source d'Argent is a few minutes by bike. The owners also point guests towards Grand Anse.

The owners say La Passe jetty is about five minutes by car or 15 minutes by bicycle, and the helipad a five-minute walk. Bicycles can be hired at reception.

Not on a beach: SeyVillas gives Anse Réunion as about 700 m away. There is no pool. SeyVillas says the property is not suited to guests with reduced mobility. The minimum stay is two nights.
