Places to eat on La Digue cluster in La Passe, where the ferries arrive, at Anse Sévère to the north, and at Anse Réunion and Anse Source d'Argent to the south. Independent cafés, takeaways and beach bars make up much of the choice, alongside restaurants at hotels and guesthouses.

La Passe and the jetty

Kazye Kafe, at the main entrance from the jetty, serves fried rice, noodles and sandwiches, and The Black Bull Cafe is a few metres from the jetty. Fish Trap Restaurant & Bar is on the beach at the village's main junction, with seafood, Creole dishes and sushi; the owners say there is a barbecue night on Fridays. Tarosa Bar and Restaurant, also beachside, serves breakfast, lunch and dinner and does takeaway. Glorious Bakery, on the road north towards Anse Sévère, sells cakes, gelato, pizza and burgers. Kati's Boxes & Boards makes charcuterie and cheese platters for picnics, ordered by phone or Instagram.

Sibert Residence says its restaurant, Nature's Choice A'LaKart, is open to guests and visitors alike. SeyVillas describes locals eating in the evenings at Chez Marston, on the path towards Anse Source d'Argent.

Anse Sévère and the north

Le Domaine de L'Orangeraie at Anse Sévère has Combava for à la carte lunch and dinner, Santosha for breakfast and dinner buffets, and Alambic Bar. If you are not staying there, contact the resort first; it takes reservations by phone or email. Creole Travel Services, a local tour operator, reports the resort closing for renovation from 1 to 21 December 2026.

Bikini Bottom, Karim's Fruit Bar and Turtle Beach Bar are beach bars at Anse Sévère, serving smoothies, fruit juices and cocktails. Patatran Village Hotel, at Anse Patates on the northern tip, has its own restaurant.

Anse Réunion and Anse Source d'Argent

South of La Passe, Le Repaire Italian Restaurant at Le Repaire Boutique Hotel serves pizza, pasta and fish; its tourism board listing (September 2025) says reservation is required. Zerof Restaurant, at Zerof Guesthouse on the main road through Anse Réunion, serves Creole and continental food; its tourism board listing says it serves walk-in diners as well as guesthouse residents. Reggae Bar is a beachside bar with Creole dishes. Chateau St Cloud, about 15 minutes' walk inland from Anse Réunion beach, has a restaurant and a poolside bar.

L'Union Estate charges foreign nationals SCR 150, valid for the day, according to its website. Inside the estate are Old Pier Cafe, for breakfast and lunch, and the Takamaka Boutique & Tasting Bar, for rum tastings. Frutta Cabana and Anbavar Bar are beach bars on Anse Source d'Argent, which is reached through the estate.

Hours and payment

Tarosa lists daily hours of 07:00 to 22:00 (tourism board listing, September 2025) and Kazye Kafe 08:00 to 22:00 (tourism board listing, March 2026). Kazye Kafe, Glorious Bakery, Turtle Beach Bar, Karim's Fruit Bar, Frutta Cabana and Anbavar Bar list cash only, so carry cash. Check hours before going.
