Praslin vs La Digue for luxury

Praslin and La Digue, neighbouring islands in Seychelles, offer luxury at different scales. Praslin has the large five-star resorts, private pool villas and golf. La Digue has a resort and spa with pool villas and boutique hotels that describe themselves as luxury, and Six Senses Zil Pasyon on Félicité is a boat ride away.

Praslin

On 16 September 2026 the tourism board's website classed 8 of Praslin's 110 listings as resorts, four of which are Raffles Seychelles and its villa types. Its data gave a five-star rating to Constance Lemuria and Raffles Seychelles, and its 2025 luxury resorts article includes both among its top five-star resorts in the country.

Raffles Seychelles opened at Anse Takamaka in 2011 with 87 private pool villas, some on the hillside and some in beachfront gardens. Constance Lemuria at Anse Kerlan says it has villas with private pools, four restaurants and five bars, a spa and the only 18-hole championship golf course in Seychelles. The resort says guests can join its turtle team from October to February to watch turtles nesting on its beach. The tourism board's island page calls Lémuria one of the most prestigious hotels in Seychelles.

La Digue

The tourism board classes none of La Digue's 89 listings as a resort, and its data gives no five-star ratings on the island. Le Domaine de L'Orangeraie at Anse Sévère, listed by the tourism board with 63 villas, advertises pool villas, a 485 m² Presidential Villa with a private infinity pool and butler, and the Eden Rock Spa on the hillside. Le Nautique Luxury Waterfront Hotel in La Passe has 10 rooms, which it says are steps from the sea, with a waterfront restaurant and pool.

Six Senses Zil Pasyon is on Félicité, an island the tourism board describes as a stepping stone from La Digue. Its 2025 luxury article lists it among the country's top five-star resorts, and its accommodation data still listed the resort with a five-star rating on 16 September 2026.

What luxury means here

The tourism board's all-inclusive article says all-inclusive packages are uncommon in Seychelles and mostly limited to exclusive five-star resorts; none of the resorts it names is on Praslin or La Digue. Check meal plans with each property.

Choose Praslin if…
