Why stay here
La Cigale Estate is a private estate of 4.5 acres on Côte d'Or beach, rented by one group at a time. The owning family built its colonial-style plantation house in memory of ancestors who have farmed in Seychelles since the 17th century. The house is surrounded by colonnaded verandas.
There are nine bedrooms: five suites in the plantation house facing the ocean, and four garden pool suites with their own plunge pools. A team of 25, including butlers, private chefs, spa therapists and a mixologist, looks after guests. Meals are cooked to order and served around the estate and on nearby beaches.
The estate says it runs mainly on solar energy, collects rainwater and grows produce in its own spice and vegetable garden.
