What to expect

The restaurants below describe their Creole cooking in terms of grilled fish and seafood, octopus, curries and homemade desserts. Hours are from Seychelles Tourism Board listings updated between September 2025 and March 2026.

Where to eat

• Les Lauriers, Côte d'Or: the hotel restaurant's Creole buffet and barbecue feature curries, grilled fish, tropical sides and homemade desserts in a garden setting. Its own site calls the Creole buffet a highlight and serves lunch six days a week, not on Wednesdays. The listing gives hours of 7.30am to 10pm.
• Capricorn Restaurant, Grand Anse district: a Creole seafood restaurant with beach access and indoor and outdoor tables; its signature dish is octopus cooked to the owner's own recipe. Listed hours are 8am to 10pm.
• Mabuya Beach Restaurant, Anse Lazio: formerly Bonbon Plume, serving traditional meals, international dishes and cocktails in a Creole-style building with ocean views, 8am to 5pm.
• La Mer, Côte d'Or esplanade: breakfast pastries, then Creole lunches with grilled fish, curries and desserts, plus fresh juices; open 8am to 9pm, until 10pm on Fridays and Saturdays.
• Hall Cuisine, Baie Sainte Anne ferry terminal: a Creole takeaway with seaside seating, open Monday to Saturday 8am to 4pm, useful before or after a ferry to Mahé or La Digue.
• Kokosye café, Vallée de Mai visitor centre: light snacks and local specialities such as banana cake (gato bannan) and breadfruit chips, for visitors to the reserve.

Tips

Several of these listings were last updated in September 2025, so call ahead, particularly for dinner. Capricorn and Les Lauriers publish contact details in their listings, and Les Lauriers has its own website. The Kokosye café is inside the Vallée de Mai, so you need a reserve ticket to use it.
