Where to eat

• Chez Jules, Anse Banane: a Creole restaurant that its listing says is known for seafood, curry with coconut milk and roasted octopus, plus fresh local juices, milkshakes, cocktails and mocktails, with views of the sea and neighbouring islands. The listing's description gives 9am to 9pm daily and its structured hours 9am to 10pm. SeyVillas describes the ride from La Passe via Anse Sévère and Anse Patates as a 2 to 4 hour outing including swim stops.
• Zerof Restaurant, Anse Réunion: a restaurant its listing describes as family-run and open to walk-in guests, serving Creole and continental food, with Creole buffet nights featuring local meats, seafood and traditional desserts, and a live Creole band. Listed hours are 8am to 9pm.

Tips

Several of these places are a hilly ride from La Passe, and La Digue's roads have little street lighting, so SeyVillas advises carrying a torch if you cycle back after dark.
